About
The Howl is Lawton Chiles High School’s campus newspaper written, designed, and photographed by students interested in journalism who are enrolled in the newspaper class. The newspaper has been in existence since the school’s inception ten years ago under advisor, Mrs. Tammy Bennett. English teacher, Ms. Leisa Johnson, undertook the class after her first year at Chiles; 2010 will be her ninth year as advisor for The Howl. Currently, the newspaper is designed in a magazine format and distributed once a semester. This year marks the institution of The Howl’s website. Editors-in-Chief of The Howl are seniors, Asia DaCosta and Dana Edwards, and the Photography Editor-in-Chief is senior, Raven Otway.
