Chiles Alumni Defenders

Since its opening, Chiles High School has had 99 men and women alumni that have joined the armed services. Ms. Tammy Cone, the student activity director and the sponsor of Big Bad Wolves and Little Red Riding Hoods, created a program where students and faculty send care packages and cards to for the brave men and women over seas. This program came to be known as Chiles Alumni Defenders.

“My philosophy is that you can never have too many people wishing your children good luck and success! I have a heart with wings on my desk. This reminds me everyday of the unique position I hold – a chance to get to know and love the kids at Chiles during their high school career. To love them while they are here, give them encouragement to do their best, to graduate and pursue their future – to give them wings, but to always know that I will continue to love them, think about them and brag on their accomplishments no matter how old they are,” says Cone.

We want to help our alumni as much as possible to safely carry on the legacy of Chiles High School.  If you are interested in helping, the program will be creating packages called “treat our soldiers.” The deadline is November 23 and the items will be accepted:
