Tuesday, October 20, 2009; the Chiles High Choral Program performed a series of songs in the Chiles Auditorium. Belle Chantique, Chiles Singers, Women’s Chorus, Men’s Chorus, and P.O.D. all took to the stage that night, and left us full of music from all over. Songs such as the Canadian Errant, Fare Ye Well, Allegria, Set Down Servant, and This Little Light of Mine were a few of the songs, with origins tracing to French Canada, Ireland, Spain, and the U.S.
Rachel Albertson and Logan Stanford had P.O.D. solos that night, in the song “This Little Light of Mine”.
Carrie Posey, a junior in both Chiles Singers and Women’s Chorus believes “Chorus is a great experience. You learn a lot, and it’s a great outlet for expression.”
Melissa Hutchinson, another junior, but a member of Belle Chantique says “Chorus is different for me. It’s different for everyone. You have to be a part of it to truly understand it.”
