Ukraine has officially closed all schools to make sure no one will risk the chance of catching swine flu. The Health Ministry explained that about seventy people out of forty million have perished because of swine flu, and now authorities are warning everyone in the nation to only travel outside when necessary. Citizens who do go outside are starting to wear face masks as a precaution to avoid catching swine flu. Not only are the schools shutting down, but movie theaters, nightclubs, and food market are closing up as well. Prime Minister, Yulia Tymoshenko, advices citizens not to panic as she may have found a solution to the issue with an arrival of anti-viral drugs. However, the government is calling this crisis an epidemic, and now they are desperately calling for assistance from Russia, the U.S., and other countries. President Yushchenko’s approval for a solution has been declined from Russia due to political issues with Moscow. Until the crisis is resolved schools and other public places will not re-open.
